Motivation

Via Grim's Halls, this quote from Col John Coleman, USMC, Chief of Staff, I MEF in Fallujah, Iraq as quoted in the Boston Globe 16 Sep:

"I'll be damned if when I'm 65 I'm going to be sitting on the redwood deck of my double-wide and read some snot-nosed grad school thesis about another failed US foreign policy example in the early part of the century. I'll die staying here so I don't have to read that."

Is this site run by mothers of our Marines?
I am not a Marine but my friend John Coleman is.
This evening all of our small group is going to
again pray for our country and our Marines. With
the election straight ahead and our Marines going
into Fallujah very soon, we have to hold them all up. If it weren't for them and those who have gone before them, we would not be free.
What encourages me alot is the good news I hear
out of Iraq from the people themselves. One movie
was recently made that you can find at www.voicesofIraq.com. We don't hear enough of the good news but from Colonel Oliver North and the soldiers who have been there.
Recently, while filming at Ground Zero, I had the privelige of speaking to many of the first responders from NYFD, NY Port Authority and NY Police Dept., some of which have been to Iraq and/or are going back. They are very fine people that have been through alot.
The film was done for my friend the Colonel of the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force, in time for
Thanksgiving. On it, it shows the site and surroundings of Ground Zero, Memorial, Names of the fallen and I managed to get many "Happy Thanksgivings" from the people there.
God Bless Our Troops, God Bless the USA and a special God Bless to my friend of the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force.
Feel free to write me when you can.

On Wednesday, even as Mr. de Maiziere issued his warning, he sought to maintain Germany’s calm.
