A MasterCard commercial gone wrong

$ 300.00- digital camera sent at time of deployment
$ 400.00 - printer and additional digital camera sent during deployment
$1300.00 - laptop computer, software, card reader, and blank CDs sent during deployment
Receiving the first picture e-mailed from the sandbox after six months of waiting . . . and realizing that your son is standing in an Iraqi jail cell in his underwear, holding a weapon, and smoking a cigarette. Priceless.

I'd say he owes you $2000.00 or he better hand over the biggest hug and kiss he can muster up and do a lot of sucking up once he is home again.
Your comments....PRICELESS!

I just read a hilarious book about the Vietnam War and I feel compelled to share it. Especially with everything going on in Iraq, it seems to have more relevance now than ever. Picture it: A book that is like… how do they put it… “Alice in Wonderland with Napalm and Landmines!” Sound right up your alley? It is called NAM-A-RAMA by Phillip Jennings. I bought mine from www.namarama.com and it says if you buy it there, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of Nam-A-Rama will be donated to funds supporting the families of U.S. servicemen killed or seriously wounded in Iraq. Check it out! There is a funny commentary by the author on the site too!

LOL. Given what all that hi-tech gear produced maybe you'd be better off being able to reproach him with the old "you never write, you never call' standby.

Yeah! we sent the camera (not the other gee-gaws - I admire you!) and have received ONE pic of our son, dirty, grime-covered and in a bunker with 3 friends - all sporting weapons. 1 is smoking a cigarette and the other 3 (one our son) with stogies jammed in the corners of their mouths. (full disclosure - his dad and uncles often send a few 'gars). When I forwarded the (only) pic to many friends - one wrote back, "here I am worried for his safety and he's taken up SMOKING??!!" Her loving, hilarious comment: also "priceless." Thanks for letting me ramble!
