Operation Santa arrives in Camp Al Qaim

We've heard reports that Operation Santa stockings are arriving all over Iraq. Here's a picture of a few good men from 1/7 Supply - the stockings are machine embroidered works of art and I'm sure they'll come home with the men in their sea bags. Gail Loffler coordinated H&S Company for 1/7 and did an awesome job. Thanks again to the hundreds of volunteers across the country who made this happen for over 6,000 Marines. Connie and I are still finishing up the remnants of the program, but will get notes out to each of you very soon.

The Diplomad (a blog I've been meaning to check out) echoes thoughts I've had many times. A must-read: they could have made no finer first impression. I rarely email things to the Spousal Unit at work, but this one is... [Read More]

I also took part in the Operation Santa for my sons unit. I love the Stockings that are shown. Is there anyway I can get in contact with the lady who did those. I would like a few of those made for my brothers and son.Would you please email me and let me know. Thank all of you for the good jobs I agree this years Santa is the families left behind especially Moms and Dads and friends. Our community took part and this is truly the true spirit of Christmas. A Proud Marine Mom and Dad.

This was great to see Camp Al Qaim, this is where our son is and I sent Christmas Stockings to his Charlie Co AAV Company. Those in his 1st plt that were at different bases I had sent to the 1st Sgt, but put Jason's address as the alternate. The mail delivered them all to Jason! He did forward them on, so hope they got them. He called me at work on Monday and said everything was going really good. So good to hear their voice.
Merry Christmas to everyone.

Great Picture ! Chris reports that all of their boxes are coming in now. They only need a couple more and it will be complete. The Chief in charge let them enjoy some of the goodies early as a morale booster and it sounds like they had a great time. He is taking lots of pictures for me. Can't wait till they get to open the gifts. Really makes me feel great knowing these guys and gals are having a better Christmas because of this. Great idea Deb !
